| The Gynecologic Cancer Foundation (GCF) has just published the 2007 State of the State of Gynecologic Cancers: Fifth Annual Report to the Women of America to coincide with September, Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month (GCAM). Each year this comprehensive guide is published so that women can be aware of advances that occurred during the previous year in each of the major reproductive cancers. This year’s report includes a special section on the importance and role of clinical trials. GCF and the Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG) have partnered to make information about current Phase III clinical trials open for enrollment available on the Women’s Cancer Network (www.wcn.org). If women feel they are eligible for the trial, they are encouraged to call GOG at 1-800- 225-3053 to receive contact information for the individual responsible for enrollment at the nearest clinical trial site. |
